Using the book chapter “The (Unfulfilled) Colonial/War Responsibility of the “Empire”: Taiwanese Civilians Detained and Repatriated in Postwar Hong Kong ” as a curatorial framework, this exhibition condenses and recaptures the conditions and events that Taiwanese civilians stranded in Hong Kong after World War II encountered. We based our design on the concept of visualization to design a contextual theme, on the usage of the remote social communication platform Gather Town and the open-source digital archive system Omeka S, and the theme of “Memories of World War II in Taiwan and Hong Kong”. Furthermore, we developed a secondary research model on the basis of this design.
